VILLALUZ WATERFALLS AND TAPIJULAPA MAGICAL VILLAGE
VILLA DE TAPIJULAPA, one of the most beautiful and picturesque towns in the state, is famous for its cobblestone streets, its white houses with red tile roofs and flower pots on the facades. It is located on the banks of two important rivers, the Oxolotán and the Amatán. Region of hills, tropical jungles and sulfurous waters, which has an extensive and varied fauna, as well as a large number of caverns, caves and grottoes. In 1979, work began on its tourist rescue and in 2010 it was declared a “Magical Town” by SecTur. It is the second most important town in the municipality after the City of Tacotalpa, which is the municipal seat. In fact, Tapijulapa became the head of the Municipality of Tacotalpa from 1934 to 1936.
