BIOLUMINISCENCE & TURTLE RELEASE

We start this adventure with two unique experiences that nature has to offer. The first is the turtle release at a turtle camp where you can interact with one of the most endangered marine species. Three of the eight species of turtles that exist live along the coast of Oaxaca. You will have the opportunity to help release the hatchlings and return them to their natural habitat while enjoying a spectacular sunset on the beach. If time permits, we will explore some of the main tourist attractions of Puerto Escondido, such as the viewpoint of Zicatela and the tourist trail “El Adoquín”, before arriving at the appropriate time to enjoy the spectacle of bioluminescence in the lagoon of Manialtepec. This phenomenon occurs thanks to the dinoflagellates, a type of marine phytoplankton that is trapped in the lagoon. You will have the opportunity to touch the water or even swim among the lights generated by these microorganisms. It is an ideal moment to relax, clear your mind, and recharge your batteries.
