IN THE CLOUDS OF JUAREZ TOUR
We will discover the Sierra de Oaxaca in a mystical, historical, cultural adventure, but above all, natural contact, which invites us to appreciate together the flavors, aromas, landscapes and unique emotions stored in these beautiful places. The adventure begins very early, leaving the city towards the northern mountains of the state, we will appreciate the change in the landscape and climate as we advance along our path, our nerves are put to the test in an impressive glass viewpoint in Ixtlán de Juárez, which is located at the top of a hill where you can see part of the Juárez mountain range and the valleys of Oaxaca; When you arrive at the town of Guelatao, it is recommended to visit the local museum, a replica house model of where Benito Juárez lived, and also the Guelatao lagoon where it is said that he went to herd his sheep when he was a child.
Afterwards we continue our journey to the magical town of Capulálpam de Méndez, there we will have time to eat in the community market, everything is delicious and organic, but a good recommendation is to taste the chichilo, a characteristic dish of the region, also considered as one of the seven moles of the state of Oaxaca; Later we will have the time to take an optional activity that could be the “Grott Tour” or take a walk on a “cultural tour” accompanied by a guide from the community, we will be able to appreciate the main attractions of the town such as: its houses, the market, the architecture of the temple of San Mateo, etc. Lastly, we took a souvenir photo in the town’s letters before returning to the city of Oaxaca.
