COFFEE: HISTORY & TRADITION

If Huatulco has something, it is its impressive history that dates back to the times of barter and the conquest of Mexico. We will get to know and enjoy a little of our roots through the visit of 3 of the main towns in the region, characterized by temperature changes within a short distance, from a totally hot climate, to the cloudy views of the heights of the destination.

We will enjoy the local culture by first visiting the development of the great tourist destination of Bahías de Huatulco, where we will see the spectacular Santa Cruz viewpoint, obtaining a wide and beautiful view of the main bay and the main beach of the place.

Later we will leave for the town called Santa María Huatulco, this place that is hidden and forms an important part of the destination since it is the municipal seat, we will visit its most emblematic places such as: the church, the old market, the plaza, the Municipal Palace and the main streets of the community to learn a little about the tradition that is lived there every day. The third town to visit is Pluma Hidalgo, along the way we will observe the characteristic that predominates in this tour: the changes in temperature and vegetation due to the height of 1328 meters; above sea level that is reached when going up towards the Sierra Madre del Sur. Once in this picturesque town we will visit its main attractions such as: its church and its old streets. We will continue with the visit to a coffee farm where we will do a coffee tasting while we listen to the production process and some curiosities. We will take a walk where the coffee plant and the coffee variety are calmly explained to us, as well as relevant information about coffee planting and harvesting.
