CHEESE AND WINE ROUTE IN VALLE DE OJOS NEGROS

First, we will visit Vinícola Infinito, the highest winery in BC, located 750 meters above sea level, here you will have the unique opportunity to meet Pepe Pedrosa, winemaker and owner of the winery. You will be able to tour the vineyard and taste his excellent wines (on your own). Next you will head to La Cava de Marcelo, which is the main producer of artisanal cheeses in Baja California. This place is internationally recognized for its high quality and has been in business since 1911. You will enjoy a guided tour to learn about agricultural production, livestock care, cheese preparation, family history, and also enjoy a cheese and wine tasting of the winery’s house cheese and wine (on your own). The brand is Quesos Ramonetti and offers natural cheeses in different presentations: fresh, with basil, with rosemary, with pepper, 6 months cheese, 1 and 2 years cheese, ricotta and butter of the highest quality. Some of these will be included in your cheese tasting so you can sample the best of the best.

We end the tour at the Aleyha Lavender Farm (open only Saturday and Sunday) in the Ojos Negros Valley and have the chance to eat at the Grosso restaurant, with gourmet lavender-based cuisine, plus the place offers tours and a store with handcrafted and organic lavender-based items (Closed in winter).
