DAY 01. CANCUN / VALLADOLID / EK BALAM / MERIDA
Departure from Cancún to Mérida, on the way we will visit the famous city of Valladolid founded in 1543, we will continue to the archaeological zone of Ek Balam, one of the last Mayan cities discovered in the modern era; after the visit, we will continue to the city of Mérida. Overnight.
DAY 02. MERIDA / CELESTUN / MERIDA
Breakfast. Departure from Mérida to Celestún, to admire the Pink Flamingos, as well as different species of birds during our tour in a boat, time to swim and return to Mérida. Overnight.
DAY 03. MERIDA / TICUL / CALCEHTOK / MERIDA
Breakfast. Just 1 hour and 10 minutes away, Ticul (the pearl of the south) is a quiet and beautiful city located 83 km from the city of Mérida, we will visit classic and popular ceramic workshops, as well as the footwear industry for ladies, who have put her in a special place, we arrive in just 15 minutes to Santa Elena, among its attractions are the typical houses, of traditional oval shape, that predominate in the town, we immediately realize that in so few km, the inhabitants only speak the Mayan language and Spanish as a second language, we visit the majestic colonial-style church built on a natural elevation, from which we can see a large part of the town, there we find a small museum, but with mummies that were found on the floor of the church, we visit the house of Don Hernán and Doña Asaria in Santa Elena, they will give us a lecture on how to live a happy life in contact with nature and culture, with them, we will make tortillas manually, we will visit the patio (garden), as well as some benefits of nature that are worth knowing, we will arrive 18 km to the restaurant area near Uxmal and after having time to eat we will go to the Calcehtok caves, which means: gorge of deer in flint of 5 km. Every day, one of the most extraordinary events of nature can be observed: thousands of bats leaving these caves looking for their food naturally at dusk; in a space of peace, we will observe for a few minutes and at the end of this natural spectacle, we return to Mérida.
DAY 04. MERIDA / HACIENDA / UXMAL / MERIDA
Breakfast. We will begin our visit to the magnificent Yaxcopoil hacienda, we will continue to Uxmal, which is an ancient Mayan city of the classical period. At present, it is one of the most important archaeological sites of the Mayan culture, lunch in a regional restaurant, and at the end, we will continue to the Peba cenote, and return to Mérida.
DAY 05. MERIDA / CHICHEN ITZA / CANCUN
Breakfast. Departure from Mérida to Cancun, on the way you will visit the archaeological zone of Chichén Itzá, admiring its majestic castle or temple of Kukulkán, the sacred cenote, the ball game as well as the famous Observatory; lunch in a regional restaurant, we continue to Cancun, transfer to the respective hotels.
