TOUR OF THE DEAD IN OAXACA:
THE MUERTEADA IN ETLA

Live this great and unique experience of celebrating this beautiful tradition in the city of Oaxaca. This great popular ceremony, in which the ancestors are invited to live with the earthly world, it is believed that the visit made by the deceased from the afterlife, obeys a permission obtained, so the relatives look for a way to provide them of their favorite food, the drink they liked the most on an altar decorated with a yellow cempasuchil flower, pan de muerto, incense, sugar skulls, and in some cases, even the music of their liking.  Live the Oaxacan tradition in a town of Etla, approximately one hour from the center of Oaxaca, where you will enjoy a comparsa dancing together with people from the community who wear their costumes, living the magic of the All-Saints’ Day festivities. This typical festivity of Etla called La Muerteada, enjoy a night of partying, joy, music and magic of the Day of the Dead festivities in Oaxaca.

It is recommended to wear tennis shoes and cold clothing. Pick up and drop off at the meeting point: Calle de Manuel Doblado 100 (Church of La Merced).

For tours that include round trip transportation from the hotel; the pick up schedule will be assigned according to the zone, in high season or for social reasons the pick up and drop off will be at meeting points (Confirm meeting points before confirming).
