LEARN THE ART OF POTTERY AND DECORATE YOUR OWN PIECE

We will learn the traditional pottery typical of the state of Chiapas visiting Amatenango del Valle, located 20 min. from the city of San Cristobal, it is a picturesque community that ranges from the typical clothing of Chiapas of its women with blue skirts, red skirt, white huipil embroidered in red and yellow and headdress, to the wonderful creations of pottery such as jaguars, pigeons, pots, bowls, planters, among others. We will arrive at a workshop where these precious pottery pieces are manufactured, the experts will give us an explanation of the clay processes, creation of the pieces, burnishing (correction of imperfections), burning and painting of the pieces. At the end you will have the opportunity to choose a piece from the pottery workshop between pot, bowl or small pot to be decorated with paint by you and be a souvenir on behalf of the state of Chiapas for everyone.
