In addition to living fully with nature, enjoying the jungle, streams, waterfalls, tropical flora and fauna. “La Venta” site museum is located at the entrance to the archaeological zone and offers a general overview of this important civilization, exhibiting a large number of archaeological pieces, photographs, paintings and sculptural colossal heads.
For an indefinite period of time, La Venta Museum is replaced by the “Carlos Pellicer Cámara” Regional Museum of Anthropology.
The “Carlos Pellicer Cámara” Regional Museum of Anthropology is located in the city of Villahermosa, in the state of Tabasco; It opened its doors on February 16, 1980, in honor of the Tabasco poet; This site investigates, preserves, protects, documents, disseminates and exhibits one of the most important archaeological heritages of the region, becoming today a gateway to the pre-Hispanic civilizations of Southeast Mexico, where we can admire archaeological pieces belonging to the Meosamerican Cultures, emphasizing the Olmec, Mayan, Zoque and Nahua cultures, which were settled in what is now Tabasco territory.
