CITY TOUR

The tour begins with a visit to the Palacio Municipal, right in front of the Plaza Mayor. You will admire its baroque architecture in the historic center. We will visit the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, erected in 1649, just a few years before the Metropolitan Cathedral. Then you will visit the Chapel of the Virgin of the Rosary, which is located next to the Temple of Santo Domingo, once called “La Casa de Oro” (The House of Gold). You will walk through its streets full of flavors, colors and history, such as the Calle de los Dulces, famous for the variety of handicrafts and rich in these delicacies. Continue to the El Parián Handicrafts Market, formerly the San Roque Square, the perfect place to purchase handicrafts in a variety of styles and materials.

As you walk through the Historic Center, you will solve the CRUCIGRAM that we will give you with the information you will learn from our guide. You will visit the Zócalo of the city, the Cathedral with the tallest cathedral towers of the continent and recognized for its sculptural, pictorial, musical and documentary heritage; the Chapel of the Rosary, named the eighth wonder of the world, covered almost entirely in gold; the Municipal Palace; the Street of Sweets, where you can learn about the wide variety of delicacies created by the nuns of the convents of Puebla; the Barrio del Artista; and the Crafts Market El Parián.
