MYSTICAL SONORA: CAMP IN EL PINACATE AND TIBURON ISLAND

The Sea of Cortez, spectacular landscapes where the mountains, the desert and the different colors of the sea come together, National Geographic has said that here is the best view of the sea in the world.

DAY 01. CAMP IN EL PINACATE

We left Hermosillo at 6 a.m. to reach Caborca to stock up on supplies, and in the afternoon we entered the craters of the Pinacate reserve, where we visited El Elegante and saw El Colorado. In the afternoon, we set up camp in the Tecolote camping area, in the middle natural sanctuary of volcanic origin in the Sonoran Desert.

DAY 02. GREAT ALTAR DESERT

We climbed the Tecolote crater to watch the sunrise and after breaking camp we headed to the Gran Desierto de Altar. After hiking in the dunes, we left the reserve to stop for lunch.

Transfer to Hermosillo, accommodation in a 4-star hotel.

DAY 03. SHARK ISLAND

We leave 7:00 a.m. for the Punta Chueca Community, from here we take the boat to cross to the Island. In this sacred space we listen to some traditional songs and carry out integration activities with members of the community. We returned to the mainland and headed to Bahia de Kino for lunch time. Return to Hermosillo between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.

DAY 04. OPTIONAL CLIMB TO TETAKAWI IN SAN CARLOS

After Bahía de Kino transfer to San Carlos. Accommodation in a 4-star hotel. At 6 am. climbing Tetakawi Hill. One of the most impressive views of the Sonoran Desert and Sea of Cortez, good physical condition is required in this approximately 3-hour activity. After time for lunch, the transfer to Hermosillo is made.
