URUAPAN, WHERE EVERYTHING BLOOMS

It is the second most important and populous city in the state of Michoacán and the capital of the municipality of the same name. It stands amidst endless fruit fields, between the exuberance of Tierra Caliente and the Purepecha plateau. An ancient city with pre-Hispanic settlements, it has become the second most important city in Michoacán. Due to the enormous cultivation of avocados, it has been called “The Vergel of Michoacán” or “Avocado Capital of the World.”
