After breakfast, we will depart to the indigenous communities of the Tzotzil ethnic group; visiting Chamula, to learn and understand the fusion of contemporary traditions and ancestral Mayan characteristics that identify this place. Afterwards, we will continue to Zinacantán, where we will visit the church and the house of a family cooperative, where we will be welcomed with a regional drink and observe how the women work the backstrap loom from pre-Columbian times. After seeing samples of what they produce, we will be offered a visit to their kitchen, where if we are lucky, we will be invited to taste handmade tortillas.
