GUANAJUATO FROM SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE

Guanajuato, the most important mining city in colonial times, is today a multicolored cultural center full of young university students, famous for hosting the Cervantino International Festival and one of the most important educational institutions in the country: the University of Guanajuato. The city played a fundamental role in the first stage of Mexico’s Independence when the insurgents defeated the Spaniards in the Alhóndiga de Granaditas. Your tour starts at the Pípila viewpoint, from the top, you will contemplate the beautiful city. Then, you will go through several of the unique tunnels and subway streets to start your walk through the main streets and alleys of Guanajuato while our anthropologist guides you through the art, culture, and history of this wonderful World Heritage City.
