CHICHEN ITZA DROP OFF CANCUN OR RIVIERA MAYA

One of the 7 wonders of the modern world, Chichen itza (mouth of the well of the water magicians) was the most important mayan city between 900 & 1300 of our era. Your guide will lead you into exploring the calendrical meaning of the temple of Kukulkan or also known as “The Castle”, you will learn about the templo of the warriors and its mysterious chac mool, you will discover measoamerica’s largest ball court and your guide will tell you the controversial theories about the the mayan ball game, discover the alignments of the astronomical observatory and the misteries hidden in the bottom of the sacred cenote. After we visit the site we will go for a typical lunch to one of the restaurants in the modern mayan town of piste. After lunch as we head to the know “The doors of the undearworld” you will have the opportunity to go for a refreshing swim on the cenote with crystal clear waters or take the time to take pictures of these unique natural formations of the Yucatan peninsula. Upon completion you will be driven back to your hotel in Merida.
