CATEMACO AND LOS TUXTLAS FROM VERACRUZ
We headed to the south of the state for a tour of approximately two hours, starting the visit in Santiago Tuxtla in the Plaza de Armas where the Colossal Head of the Olmec culture is located, a monolith of more than 38 tons of weight, unique in its kind of this culture of the pre-Hispanic times in addition to enjoying the picturesque town. We continue the trip to La Cascada el Salto de Eyipantla located on the Comoapan River, whose waterfall forms a curtain 40 meters wide and 50 meters high. If you want to get to the curtain you have to go down 244 steps, otherwise, you can do it from a viewpoint. Spectacular moment to admire the natural beauty of this place, the scene of famous movies and commercials. After this visit, we arrive at the Mystic town of Catemaco and enjoy this place’s charm, appreciating the handicrafts, its church and boardwalk, and a beautiful view of the lagoon.
We finish with a collective launch tour of the lagoon to reach the Nanciyaga ecological reserve where we will be in direct contact with nature on a guided walk through the tropical jungle that is part of the Tuxtlas biosphere reserve. The exuberant vegetation, birds, and animals will make us spend a moment of reflection inviting us to the conservation of our environment.
