THE JEWELS OF SPLENDOR: HACIENDA YAXCOPOIL AND UXMAL + CENOTE
Leaving the city of Mérida, we head to the Yaxcopoil hacienda, where you can visit the interior of the property. These haciendas have their origins in the encomiendas established after the arrival of the Spaniards. In general, they included houses of great architectural value and other smaller buildings for farm work, built during the period of splendor of the “green gold”. We continue to the three times built Uxmal, located in a hilly area known as Puuc.
Afterwards, we will visit a cenote, a subway water deposit, where you can enjoy its crystalline waters, ideal for refreshment.
