TOUR OF THE DEAD IN OAXACA: VISIT TO CEMENTERIES

Live this great and unique experience of celebrating this beautiful tradition in the city of Oaxaca. This great popular ceremony, in which the ancestors are invited to coexist with the earthly world, it is believed that the visit made by the deceased from the afterlife, obeys a permission obtained, so the relatives look for a way to provide them of their favorite food, the drink they liked the most on an altar decorated with a yellow cempasuchil flower, pan de muerto, incense, sugar skulls, and in some cases, even the music of their liking.

Enjoy this wonderful night tour on October 31st visiting 2 relevant cemeteries of Oaxaca, the first stop is in a Oaxacan community where you will see how families decorate graves with cempasúchil flowers, lighting candles and burning copal to scent the air. The community is illuminated and comes alive in a colorful celebration that exalts memory and affection to the Central Valleys where you will observe the believing residents who rest in the cemetery throughout the night accompanying and living with their dead relatives; You will live the authentic tradition of the Day of the Dead among the aromas of flowers and a candlelight that is perceived at all times.
