Breakfast. We will visit the wonders that the Huasteca of San Luis Potosi offers us in this excursion departing from Ciudad Valles which consists of a visit to the surrealist garden of Edward James which is a harmonious place integrated with nature and surrealist architecture. The surrealist style garden is composed of figures made of concrete, located in a kind of labyrinth; most of the structures mimic the nature of the garden, it is said that each of these forms has a meaning that reflects the idealistic, dreamer and surrealist spirit of its creator.
Later, we will go to the magical town of Xilitla, 88 km from Ciudad Valles, surrounded by mountains and lush vegetation. Here, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery that Xilitla has to offer. We will visit the former Augustinian convent, built from 1550 to 1557, and recognized as a unique architectural jewel for being the oldest religious building in San Luis Potosi.
To conclude this tour, we will taste a typical regional dish. Then, from Xilitla, we will visit the Sótano of the Huahuas, which is composed of an abyss 70 meters in diameter and 478 meters deep. It serves as a sanctuary for thousands of birds, which offer a majestic spectacle when they take shelter at sunset.
