DAY 1. (SUN 25 OCT). ARRIVAL TRANSFER
Arrival at Mexico Citys Benito Juárez International Airport and transfer to the hotel of your choice. Accommodation. In the evening, panoramic tour to admire the lighting, decorations, and offerings related to the Day of the Dead. Return to the hotel and accommodation.
DAY 2. (MON 26 OCT). TOUR OF MEXICO CITY and XOCHIMILCO
Breakfast. We will visit the Historic Center, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the Zócalo, panoramic view of the National Palace, Aztec Temple, Metropolitan Cathedral, Paseo de la Reforma, Chapultepec Forest, the citys most glamorous residential areas, and the Zona Rosa. The panoramic tour will continue with the World Trade Center, the Poliforum Cultural Siqueiros, the Plaza de Toros México, the Teatro de los Insurgentes, the Olympic Stadium, the University City, and the lava gardens of Pedregal de San Ángel. Afterwards, we will visit Xochimilco, a World Heritage Site, where we will take a ride on an Aztec boat. We will also visit the wonderful neighborhood of Coyoacán, with its 16th-century mansions and the church of San Juan Bautista with its impressive paintings.
DAY 3. (TUE, OCT 27). MEXICO CITY / QUERETARO / SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE
Breakfast. Visit to the city of Querétaro, a World Heritage Site, where we will visit the Aqueduct, the Ex-Convent of La Cruz, and the Historic Center. We will continue on to San Miguel de Allende to explore this peaceful city, recently named a World Heritage Site, where the great comedian “Cantinflas” lived and artists and intellectuals reside. Highlights include the Parish Church of San Miguel Arcángel, the Convent of La Concepción, the Church of San Francisco, and the Allende Institute. It has a wide variety of craft shops, cafés, and restaurants. Accommodation.
DAY 4. (WED 28 OCT). SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE / DOLORES HIDALGO / GUANAJUATO
Breakfast. Departure for Dolores Hidalgo, where in 1810 Father Miguel Hidalgo gave the famous “cry” that marked the beginning of the Mexican War of Independence. Here you will find the house-museum of this national hero, who is also the birthplace of the famous composer José Alfredo Jiménez. Continue to Guanajuato, a World Heritage Site and annual venue for the Cervantino International Festival. In the afternoon, we will enjoy exploring this beautiful city, full of alleys and squares, which offers us such interesting places as the University, the Juárez Theater, the Callejón del Beso (Alley of the Kiss), and the house-museum of muralist Diego Rivera, husband of Frida Kahlo. Its underground streets and avenues are unique in the country, as are the house of Jorge Negrete, the Quixote Museum, and its famous Mummy Museum. Accommodation.
DAY 5. (THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29). GUANAJUATO / GUADALAJARA
DAY 6. (FRI 30 OCT). MAGICAL TOWN OF TEQUILA AND AGAVE FIELDS
Breakfast. We begin our tour by visiting the agave fields, declared a Natural World Heritage Site, where we will learn about the process of planting, growing, and harvesting agave. We will also visit a distillery to observe the process of extracting a magnificent drink: tequila. From there, we will be able to admire the imposing Tequila Volcano, whose height of 3,000 meters above sea level makes it a site of great importance, recognized by UNESCO. Finally, we will head to the Magical Town of Tequila, where our travelers will be able to enjoy its main attractions, such as its rich cuisine or the opportunity to buy souvenirs and take home a beautiful memory of this emblematic place.
DAY 7. (SAT 31 OCT). GUADALAJARA / MORELIA
DAY 8. (SUN 01 NOV). NIGHT OF THE SOULS
DAY 9. (MON, NOV 2). SANTA CLARA DEL COBRE
Breakfast. On this tour, we will be amazed to discover the historic ceiling of the Chapel of Santiago Apóstol in Tupátaro, and the arts and crafts of our artisan villages invite us to participate with our own hands. In Santa Clara, we can forge copper in the forges of this beautiful magical town. Upon arriving in Zirahuén, while you savor one of the regions typical dishes, you can enjoy the majestic landscape of the “Mirror of the Gods.”
DAY 10. (TUE, NOV 3). MORELIA / MEXICO CITY
Breakfast. At the appointed time, transfer to the bus station to take the regular bus to Mexico City. Reception and transfer to your hotel.
