AMEALCO AND ACULCO: BETWEEN LELE DOLLS AND CHEESES FROM CDMX

We will depart for the town of Amealco de Bonfil, where we will explore the charming town known for its rich Otomi culture. We will visit the Museum of the Handmade Doll, a symbol of Mexican craftsmanship that represents the roots and traditions of the region, and the Municipal Museum, then we will have time to visit part of the historic center of this town such as the statues of Lele and Santiaguito and the handicraft corridor that is located right there. We will continue our tour to a creative workshop where you will learn the art of making your own Lele doll. Guided by expert artisans, you will learn the cultural significance behind this artisan heritage and see more than just the doll itself, such as the process of making it. Later we will travel to Aculco, a magical city of breathtaking scenery and colonial architecture. We will walk through its cobblestone streets and its imposing waterfall, among other natural treasures of the place.
